Purpose
The purpose of Friends of Eliestoun nfp (not-for-profit) is the continuance, improvement, and maintenance of the house, land, and outbuildings of the property known as Eliestoun as a resource to further the educational opportunities of Principia’s students. The organization is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
Mission
The mission of the Friends of Eliestoun nfp is to safeguard historic Eliestoun, its buildings and grounds, for future generations of Principia students, for the Village of Elsah, and the community at large. Friends of Eliestoun is a not-for-profit organization established to raise funds for the general protection, renewal, and maintenance of Eliestoun. The scope of the work will be determined and overseen by the Board of Directors of the Friends of Eliestoun nfp. By restoring the historic property the educational experience of students attending The Principia will be greatly enhanced.
